SCV Residents Do it Again - Jeremy Singh - **IN CUSTODY**

Commit Crime? - Not in the Santa Clarita Valley - Hot on the Trail of Jeremy Singh - Several public tips throughout the weekend led to at least two sightings by deputies of wanted attempted murder suspect Jeremy Singh. The deputy sightings resulted in one foot pursuit and two containment operations, but Singh managed to evade capture until this morning when deputies got the big break they had been hoping for.
Suspect Singh was being sought for attempted murder and several other charges in connection with an assault and stabbing incident which occurred at the Sierra Canyon Apartments - 27520 Sierra Highway, Canyon Country on Sunday, September 14, 2008. The end to his running came this morning after an anonymous tip from a Santa Clarita resident led deputies to the Park Sierra Apartments in the 27300 block of Palo Verde Place, Canyon Country, just after 9:00 a.m. Deputies searched an apartment belonging to Laura Mathis, FW/24, of Canyon Country and found Singh hiding in a closet.
Singh was taken into custody without incident. Laura Mathis was also arrested on a felony charge of Harboring a Fugitive. They were both booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station pending future court proceedings. Singh is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail and Mathis is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
