Armed Robbery - Canyon Country

Monday - January 14, 2008 - 7:45 p.m. - Canyon Country:

Detectives are investigating an armed robbery which occurred in the Food 4 Less parking lot at 19200 Soledad Canyon Road Monday evening.  Deputies responded to the location after a woman called and reported that two men, one of which was armed with a handgun, stole her purse as she was unloading groceries from her shopping cart. 

The two suspects, described only as male Hispanics, age 25-30, then ran through the parking lot to an awaiting vehicle which was driven by a third male Hispanic adult - age 25-30.  The vehicle, described as a 2-door black Chevy pick-up truck with loud exhaust and clear tail lights, sped out of the lot onto eastbound Soledad Canyon Road and out of view.  Responding deputies checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspects or the vehicle.  The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information at this time.
